Every sheet that comes off the Wiselink production line goes through 18 discrete inspection steps. Some are automated, some are visual, and a subset requires lab testing.
Dimensional. Length and width measured against spec using a calibrated tape — tolerance is +/- 2 mm on length, +/- 1 mm on width. Thickness gets measured at 5 points per sheet (4 corners plus center) using a Mitutoyo digital gauge, tolerance +/- 0.2 mm. Squareness is checked by diagonal measurement — difference between diagonals can't exceed 3 mm. Flatness gets tested on a calibrated granite surface table with a feeler gauge — maximum allowable deviation is 0.5 mm over 1 meter.
Surface quality. Visual scan under 2,000 lux lighting for scratches, pinholes, inclusions, and color streaks. Backlit inspection on a 6,000K light box checks for transparency variation and internal voids. Sanding quality is verified as 240-grit uniform finish with no visible swirl marks or belt lines. Gloss level measured at 3 points with a gloss meter — target range within 5 GU of standard. Edge condition checked for chipping, cracking, or rough edges. Surface hardness Shore D durometer reading at 2 points — target is 78–82 Shore D.
Color and appearance. Spectrophotometer reading against archived master standard — Delta E must be ≤ 1.0. For context, Delta E of 1.0 is barely perceptible to the trained eye under controlled lighting. Delta E of 3.0 is noticeable to anyone. Visual comparison under D65 daylight lamp by a trained QC inspector. Pattern match for veined or marble-look colors checked against approved sample.
Physical properties from batch samples — flexural strength per ASTM D790 (minimum 40 MPa), water absorption at 0.05% (SGS verified), impact resistance via falling ball test with no cracking. Fire performance per ASTM E84-23a tunnel test conducted by SGS — third party, not in-house. Flame spread index ≤ 25, smoke developed ≤ 50. Class A.
Traceability — every sheet gets a production batch number laser-marked on the back edge. That number traces back to the production date, raw material lot numbers, mixing operator, casting machine, and QC inspector ID. If there's ever an issue, we can locate the problem within a single shift of production.

Fire performance (annual plus random) — ASTM E84-23a surface burning characteristics. Our most recent report shows flame spread index 20, smoke developed index 40 — comfortably within Class A. Test reports are available per production batch.
Physical properties (quarterly) — ANSI/ICPA SS-1-2021 testing covering flexural strength, modulus of elasticity, hardness, impact resistance, stain resistance, and dimensional change. Full pass across all parameters.
Chemical resistance (annual) — tests against common lab chemicals, cleaning agents, and food-contact substances. No visible change after 24-hour contact with 1% HCl, 70% isopropyl alcohol, acetone, hydrogen peroxide, and commercial bleach solutions.
Water absorption (quarterly) — 24-hour immersion test per ASTM D570. Result: 0.05% by weight. This is the number that really matters for food service and healthcare applications — low absorption means bacteria has nowhere to colonize.
Crystalline silica content (annual) — per OSHA methodology. Result: none detected. Our formulation uses ATH as the mineral filler, not crystalline silica. This matters for California Prop 65 compliance and worker safety during fabrication.
Every Wiselink shipment includes a Certificate of Compliance that's batch-specific and signed by the QC manager, SGS test report, Material Safety Data Sheet, Certificate of Origin, packing list with batch numbers per crate, and optionally a California Prop 65 compliance letter and fumigation certificate. If your GC requires a specific test or certification, we can coordinate with SGS for a custom test protocol. Lead time for new certifications runs 2–4 weeks.

Q: How do I access the QC documentation for my order?
A: Documentation is prepared at time of shipment and emailed to you as PDFs. Hard copies can be included inside the crate if requested.
Q: What happens if a sheet fails QC?
A: Rejected sheets are marked with a red QC tag and removed from the production batch. They're either ground for recycled content or disposed. They never go into a crate for export.
Q: Does Wiselink offer a warranty?
