Solid surface kitchen islands bring the seamless, repairable performance of solid surface into food-prep spaces. In hotel extended-stay suites, restaurant display kitchens, and commercial breakrooms, a solid surface island provides both workspace and visual anchor.
Monochromatic island. Same solid surface material for countertop and island face. Creates a monolithic block that reads as a single piece of furniture.
Waterfall-end island. Solid surface wraps down both ends. The island appears as a solid block of material — no visible cabinets or supports underneath.
Integrated prep sink. An undermount or integrated sink on the island for food prep. Pair with a gooseneck faucet for a display kitchen look.
Two-tone island. Solid surface countertop in white or light gray, with a contrasting wood or painted base cabinet. The solid surface provides a clean, sanitary work surface while the base adds warmth.

Q: Can solid surface islands be fabricated with a breakfast bar overhang? A: Yes. For overhangs up to 12", 12 mm sheet is sufficient. For overhangs 12–18", use 19 mm sheet or add reinforcement strips. Over 18" requires a support leg.
Q: Is solid surface suitable for outdoor kitchen islands? A: Pure acrylic only. Modified acrylic will yellow in UV. Use pure acrylic and avoid solid dark colors (they absorb heat and can reach damage temperature in direct summer sun).
